祝・フェルプス

2006年度のノーベル経済学賞（正式名称は以下略）は「マクロ経済政策の異時点間にわたるトレードオフの分析」に多大なる貢献をなしたE．フェルプス氏に授与されることが決定いたしました。

The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences has decided to award The Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel 2006 to

Edmund S. Phelps(Columbia University, NY, USA)

“for his analysis of intertemporal tradeoffs in macroeconomic policy”.

オールド・ケインジアンの黄金時代＝1950～60年代、フィリップスカーブ（＝インフレ率と失業率との安定的なトレードオフの関係）は政府による総需要管理政策（＝ファインチューニング）に基づく経済安定化のための後ろ盾として・・・・やめた。私にゃニッチあるいはただ乗りがお似合いです。

フェルプスの話題じゃないですけどもノーベル賞ついでに。「彼 or 彼女にはノーベル賞獲っといてもらいたかった」（＝「選考委員会がちんたらしてる間にどれだけの該当者がこの世を去ったことか・・・」）。

受賞理由の一つである自然失業率仮説あるいは期待修正フィリップスカーブ（＝フィリップスカーブを短期/長期に区別）に関しての詳しい議論は、『経済思想の歴史』の該当箇所および銅鑼先生のご説明を参照のこと。

もう一つの受賞理由、「the desirable rate of capital formation」 across generations（＝黄金律）ならびに新技術の普及と経済成長に対する人的資本（human capital）の重要性への早くからの注目、に関してはコールズ研究所のHPにて幾つかの論文が読めると思ふ。

あとフェルプス関連で面白そうな論文を１つ２つほど。
